Fintech for the Unbanked – Indonesia’s Largest Opportunity

Indonesia is the world’s 4th most populous nation and the largest economy in Southeast Asia, but financial inclusion has been limited: 76% of the country’s population don’t have a bank account, especially those that live in the rural areas. This presents enormous market opportunities for new Fintech solutions such as duithape, which allow mobile users to easily setup an account and transact seamlessly. Financial aid distribution through facial recognition are also made available to those who have no access to mobile phones and no bank accounts. The company has already run successful pilots and is planning to expand nationwide by the end of 2021.
